2008 is the first year I really tried to decorate cakes for the kids. Mia got a polka dot cake, and Patrick's cake is supposed to be a piece of yellow lego. They turned out pretty cute, but I am really looking forward to making their cakes this year, and coming up with something really creative.

Andy's Birthday Cake
I made this cake for Andy's 32nd birthday. I was really happy with how this one turned out. It was the cake that started me thinking about decorating cakes. This is the logo for the company he works for.

Stork Cake
I made this cake for a baby shower for a lady at our church. It didn't turn out the way I hoped for, but it was still cute. There are things I will do differently the next time I do a transfer. And I don't think I will ever use royal icing again, because it spreads out too much before drying.

Diaper Shirt Cake
This is a really fun, and easy cake to decorate. There are endless possibilities of how it can be done. I think this is one that I will be making a lot of.

. . .
I am an amateur cake decorator, and I am loving every minute of it. I am planning to post a picture of every cake I decorate. I am also going to use this blog to show some of my creations as well.
